Trent Alexander-Arnold is in line to receive a whopping salary at Real Madrid as further details emerge following confirmation he will be leaving Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold Confirms Liverpool Exit, Set to Join Real Madrid

Amid ongoing speculation throughout Liverpool’s title-winning season, Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially confirmed he will leave Anfield after two decades at his boyhood club. While fellow stars Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk committed to new deals, the England right-back has chosen a new path.

On Monday, just a day after Liverpool’s 3-1 loss to Chelsea, Alexander-Arnold released an emotional video and a heartfelt statement explaining his decision not to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season. His departure will come as a free transfer.

Liverpool acknowledged his exit with an official message, thanking the two-time Premier League winner for his contributions during a remarkable era for the club.

Long linked with a move to Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold now looks set to reunite with international teammate Jude Bellingham at the Spanish giants. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, he is expected to sign a five-year deal with the 15-time European champions.

Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid Move Could Happen Sooner Than Expected

While Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to receive a lucrative salary at Real Madrid, reports suggest he won’t rank among the club’s top earners—trailing stars like Vinícius Jr. and soon-to-arrive Kylian Mbappé.

Though his Liverpool contract officially ends on July 1, The Sun reports that Real Madrid is eager to bring him in earlier to feature in the Club World Cup in the United States this June. If Real pays a compensation fee for early release, Alexander-Arnold could join as soon as June 1 and potentially make his debut against Al Hilal in a group stage match in Miami on June 15.

The 25-year-old has made 351 appearances for Liverpool, tallying 23 goals and 92 assists across all competitions. Before his departure, he could still appear in three more matches for the Reds, including two home fixtures against Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
