Xabi Alonso has made a final decision to place 5 players from Real Madrid’s starting lineup on the transfer list for the upcoming transfer window!

In a stunning development that is set to shake the foundations of European football, Real Madrid’s newly appointed head coach, Xabi Alonso, has reportedly finalized a list of five starting players he intends to offload during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Spanish tactician is wasting no time as he prepares to mold Los Blancos into a team that reflects his dynamic footballing philosophy.

According to reports published by reputable German outlet Bild, Alonso has already submitted his initial transfer plans to the club’s hierarchy. With a clear vision in mind, the former Real Madrid midfielder is looking to implement significant changes to the squad in order to prepare for what could be a transitional yet highly ambitious season at the Bernabéu.

The radical reshaping of Real Madrid’s squad comes in the wake of Carlo Ancelotti’s departure. While Ancelotti left behind a legacy of domestic and European success, Alonso appears determined to refresh the lineup and stamp his identity on a team that he believes needs fresh energy, pace, and tactical balance to compete on all fronts.

One of the most notable decisions involves the defensive department. Alonso has given the green light for the sale of Ferland Mendy and Fran García, two left-backs who have struggled to consistently impress over the past season. Their exit would open the door for Álvaro Carreras, the promising Benfica full-back who is reportedly close to joining the Spanish giants.

But perhaps the most surprising development is the potential departure of David Alaba. The 32-year-old Austrian defender, who has been a pillar of Madrid’s defense, is no longer considered essential to Alonso’s plans. Despite being under contract until June 2026, Alaba could be released on a free transfer if a suitable opportunity arises, marking the end of his successful stint in Spain.

Midfield restructuring is also on Alonso’s agenda. French international Aurélien Tchouaméni, once seen as a cornerstone of the club’s future, may be on his way out. Sources close to the club suggest that Real Madrid would entertain offers in the region of €80 million for the player, as Alonso prefers a more attack-oriented and technically agile midfield setup.

The boldest move, however, is tied to Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes. Despite his moments of brilliance and knack for scoring in crucial matches, Rodrygo has reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with his role and playing time. As a result, the club is now open to letting him go for €100 million, a price tag reflective of his age, talent, and marketability.

Alonso’s transfer decisions are not solely based on performance metrics. Instead, they appear to be driven by a desire to rebalance the team, removing players who may not fit into his high-intensity, possession-based system. The shift marks a clear break from the previous regime, signaling a new dawn at one of the world’s most successful football clubs.

It is clear that Xabi Alonso is not afraid to make difficult decisions. His player-first perspective as a former elite midfielder gives him a unique understanding of what is required at the top level, and his actions reflect a coach who is both calculated and courageous.

While Real Madrid fans may find it difficult to accept the potential departure of fan-favorite players like Rodrygo and Alaba, many will also appreciate Alonso’s long-term vision and his refusal to settle for anything less than excellence. The coming weeks are likely to bring a flurry of negotiations and announcements as the club prepares for an aggressive summer in the transfer market.
